The clients requested an addition to their mid-country Greenwich home to house their growing collection of contemporary Chinese art. Preservation of the landscape was a very important objective. The proposed design is a two-story structure that is transparent. By using non-reflective low-iron glazing, the view has been preserved. The structure is steel and timber, with a rustic stone base. A sophisticated lighting system has been designed to highlight the collection of paintings, drawings and sculptures.
