The owners purchased the neighboring 2 acre lot in Greenwich, Connecticut to expand their property. Taking cues from the existing house, the properties were master planned for future development of the gardens in the style of an Italian villa. A pool house was designed to compliment and blend with the existing architecture and serve as a buffer to the road. A pool and tennis court was sited on axis with the pool house. Privacy and separation from the busy street led to the design of terraced retaining walls and berms to reduce traffic noise.
