R.S. Granoff Architects (RSGA) has recently won four HOBI Awards from the Home Builders Association of Fairfield County.  “Best Custom Home over 10,000 s.f.” and “Best Green Home” were granted to a mid-country residence in Greenwich. A new home at Thunder Mountain Road in Greenwich was awarded the “Best Spec. House over 6,000 s.f.”. RSGA has been awarded HOBI Awards in the past for homes in Fairfield County.
RSGA’s first home designed for LEED certification is framed, insulated and sheetrocked!  Located in Sag Harbor, NY, this 4,500sf LEED Silver candidate offers comfortable and efficient living on a beautifully wooded site.  Check the Green Design – Projects section for more information.
Westport Yoga, LLC is a new 9,000sf +/- family wellness center designed by RSGA that will include a yoga facility, juice bar, and retail store. From the earthy color palate flooded in natural light to the sustainable materials with low and no-VOC finishes,  this eastern-influenced eco-friendly retreat will be a highlight of downtown Westport.  We look forward to its opening in Winter 2009!
RSGA is hosting the Fall kick-off meeting of the Workplace Volunteer Council, an association of area companies, such as Merrill Lynch, RBS Greenwich Capital, UBS, Deloitte & Touche and others, which recognizes the importance of community volunteerism.  As part of the WVC’s Back-to School program, RSGA employees sponsored two local school children, donating clothes and school supplies.  RSGA employees have also given of their time to read to local school children.
RSGA has teamed up with Fairfield County Home and Hobbs, Inc. for our second lecture series at Audubon Greenwich, “Green Building, Green Homes”.  Upcoming panel discussions include Geothermal Energy Systems on October 20, Solar Energy and Wind Systems on November 17 (Rich Granoff wil be the moderator) and High Efficiency residential HVAC Systems on December 15.  Visit the Audubon website for more information.
