An exterior face-lift gave an undistinguished house a totally new identity. The owners, a young family, were pleased with their location and property, but wanted a more distinctive appearance for their house. The new entry hall breaks up the box-like front of the structure and adds a new level of architectural interest, while redwood siding completely changes the look and feel of the building. Many interesting details, materials and finishes were used, including stainless steel handrails, custom-designed ceramic tiles, marble mosaics and Pennsylvania wallstone.
