A 6,500 s.f. addition renovation of a 1950’s ranch completely transformed this house into a dramatic Shingle Style home. The first floor plan was modified to increase room sizes by eliminating the bedrooms and adding a Family Room. A new second floor was added to accommodate the relocated bedrooms and a new Master Suite. The gables add interest to the roofline from the approach of the house which is from a road high above the site. A large serpentine retaining wall helped recapture usable lawn in the front yard as well as create an opportunity for perennial plantings.
