The home was originally built by the Goodman family (of Bergdorf-Goodman) in the 1920's, with many unsympathetic additions over the years. The goal was to retain as much of the character and detail of the original house as possible, while accommodating the lifestyle of an active young family. The 10,000 s.f. house was gutted and then completely re-built, including the addition of a family room and porte cochere. The job was completed on a fast-track basis.
