The aesthetic and functional transformation of an indifferent "builders colonial" which had been untouched since it was completed in 1969. The client, a developer, commissioned a renovation on a modest budget. An eight-foot-deep addition at the front of the house expands the main rooms and creates an attractive new facade to the street. The re-designed structure includes a new, large kitchen/family room, as well as a master bedroom suite and two new baths. In addition, there are new windows, doors, mechanical systems and interior finishes throughout. The house sold within weeks of completion.
