ROBERT BREHM

Upon graduating high school, Robert Brehm left his hometown of Amherst, Massachusetts for Pittsburgh, PA to study graphic arts at Carnegie-Mellon University. It was during a summer working in the apple orchards around Amherst that Robert’s creative interests took an entirely new direction. Fueled by his desire to create, he changed the direction of his study to landscape architecture.  Robert graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Massachusetts. The following year Robert moved to Connecticut to begin his career as a landscape architect.

In 2001, landscape architecture became a permanent part of Granoff Architects scope of services and Robert was brought in to lead the new division. Making the world of architecture fit with the landscape involves treating each project with respect. Robert’s artistic vision works each individual site as sculpture to shape and a canvas to paint to embody the sense of serenity and peace. Robert creates a setting that is unique and complimentary, at harmony with not only the architecture and the land, but also the client’s needs and lifestyle. His deep working knowledge and distinct vision of his craft and dedication to the profession represent a powerful and invaluable contribution to Granoff Architects’ overall firm expertise.

Robert is a licensed practitioner in Connecticut and New York. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He currently resides in Greenwich, CT with his two sons.
